It’s the most wonderful time of year! And why buy a present when you can make one?
At my office, we celebrate the holidays with the time-honored tradition of gift-giving through an event known lovingly as Secret Santa. Through fate and how one’s fingers hit folded pieces of scrap paper with someone’s name on it, I chose someone who I know relatively well (whew).
Knowing that this person just got their first apartment and that they liked wine, I decided a wine rack was in order. And since the best presents are the ones that are homemade, I thought, why not make one!
A quick Google search, and an idea based on this rustic wine rack from Atterstone (https://www.atterstone.com/products/r…), I went down to the shop to get started.
I decided to challenge myself by only using materials I had in stock. This way I could put that $25 Secret Santa cap toward stoking the wine rack with… well wine! Check out this latest episode to see how I did it, and as always, I’d love to hear from you.
Let me know in the comments what you think about the final product, where I could have improved; and if you’ve done something similar I’d love to see!
