I picked up Bandai’s con exclusive Triple Zero at Star Wars Celebration 2019 and it’s been sitting on my shelf ever since I came back from that most magical of events.
Triple Zero is a protocol droid turned assassin that helps out on various missions for Doctor Aphra and Darth Vader. He’s bad. He’s all black. He’s one fine piece of evil machinery.
One cool feature of Triple Zero is his glowing red eyes.
Not one to shy away from hacking, slicing and dicing my kits, I decided to stretch my skills and light them up!
WARNING: If you’re going to attempt this, be prepared for borderline microscopic drill work, lots of swearing, and possibly post cutting/drilling repairs… Having never done a character model before I had no idea what to expect… and if I were to do it again, I’d say “You know what me… don’t light it up… the headache isn’t worth it… stick to ships…”
